Technique: Three textile assemblage techniques: hand-assemblage, folded on card, machine-assemblage, hand-quilting on a canvas base with a silk core

Description: The colour palette used by Paul Klee for his Bluhendes, 80 cm in width, inspired a personal construction – long explored and mulled over – to achieve a geometric base in which squares of five different sizes radiate out from the centre.

To join the three layers and add graphics and relief to the piece, quilted concentric circles are spaced out to the pace of a geometric sequence.
