Technique: Hand- and machine-assembled textiles, hand-quilted on a canvas base with a silk core.

Description: Following on from Espace-temps 1, the grey of men’s suiting is ousted by a clearer, warmer palette. Close to the curve, the rectangle fragments into six squares, letting the pattern undulate. The layered squares cut from Burmese silk are twice as small.

The graphic quilted spokes of three off-centre circles provide relief, drawing the onlooker’s gaze
