Description: The Snow variations series ushers in a change in technique. It is no longer a matter of assembling three layers of textiles according to quilting tradition: all but the topmost layer has been discarded, leaving a fragile skin.
In these 15 x 15 cm formats, relief and matter orchestrate all states of snow, from flakes, snowballs and overhangs to immense slopes. Given their potential for evocation on such a small scale, these fascinating objects have thus assumed their rightful place, overriding the initial design.
In a display case for easy installation, each Snow condenses 20 years of percepts.
