Snow no more
Snow no more
As winter envelops the earth in a cosy blanket of snow, contemplation knows no thaw, time is suspended on branches as icicles.
Tomorrow and the next day lay veiled beneath a silken sheen, that a heedful hand will lift once the time is right.
Smooth, white, woven fabric with a damask effect, then surreptitiously, crumpled concertinaed squares of fabric engineer a surface alteration, mingling greys and ashen ochres, heralding a water-world. Snow turns to slush; earth is yet to assert itself anew!
The smooth square loosens up, the wrong side rights itself, the hand shapes a few snowdrifts where a rumble of earth emerges on the wrong side of one or several squares.
From a few white mountain peaks to the dexterous hand, the sharp shortcut of an ecru fabric, shaped by snow bright, sustaining the inescapable thaw.
